Fedora 10 End-of-Life

I've just been advised that December 17th was the official end of support for Fedora 10. This means that no more security fixes or software updates will be released for that version. Users are advised to upgrade to the current version, Fedora 12.

Note that the end of support does not necessarily mean that the software repository is being shut down. I don't know Fedora policy about "obsolete" repositories, but it may just mean that no new software is being added to that repository.

It does seem that Fedora policy is to retire version number N one month after the release of version N+2. So, Fedora 11 (just installed on our Acer netbook!) will reach official end-of-life one month after the release of Fedora 13.
